Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, withdraw consent, object to certain processing, or exercise other privacy choices.

Shopify
ShootFilmCo is hosted on Shopify.
Shopify provides the ecommerce platform used to operate our storefront, checkout, customer accounts, order management, and other store functions. Shopify processes personal information in order to provide these services to us.
For many core store services, Shopify processes customer information on behalf of ShootFilmCo. Shopify may also process certain personal information for its own purposes when Shopify services or features that involve such processing are enabled.
Shopify maintains its own privacy policies and privacy controls governing information it processes in its own capacity.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to operate ShootFilmCo or provide services to you.
Recipients may include:
Shopify
Shopify hosts and supports our online store and related ecommerce services.
Payment Providers
Payment providers process transactions and help prevent payment fraud.
Fulfillment, Printing, and Shipping Providers
We may provide your name, shipping address, order details, and other necessary information to companies that produce, package, fulfill, or deliver your order.
Communications Providers
Email, SMS, and customer-service providers may process contact information and communications so that we can send order updates, provide support, or send marketing where permitted.
Analytics Providers
Analytics services may receive information about how visitors use the website so that we can understand store performance and improve the customer experience.
Advertising and Social-Media Providers
Where permitted, advertising platforms and related services may receive identifiers, device information, website activity, purchase-related events, or similar information to measure advertising, create audiences, or personalize advertising.
Security and Fraud-Prevention Providers
We may disclose information when necessary to detect or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or other unlawful activity.
Professional Advisers
We may disclose information to accountants, insurers, attorneys, consultants, or other professional advisers when reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes.
Legal Authorities
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, regulation, court order, or a valid governmental request, or when necessary to protect our legal rights or the safety of others.
Business Transfers
If ShootFilmCo is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale, reorganization, financing, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
ShootFilmCo, Shopify, and certain service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies.
Some technologies are necessary for the website to function. These may support features such as:
-
Shopping carts
-
Checkout
-
Customer accounts
-
Security
-
Fraud prevention
-
Store preferences
-
Basic website functionality
Other technologies may be used for:
-
Analytics
-
Advertising measurement
-
Audience creation
-
Personalization
-
Marketing performance
Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential technologies are used, we use those technologies only after receiving the required consent.
Where privacy controls are available on the site, you can use them to manage your choices. You may also be able to control certain cookies through your browser settings.
Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website function.
Advertising, Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
ShootFilmCo does not sell personal information for money.
We may use advertising, analytics, social-media, or Shopify-related technologies that disclose identifiers, device information, internet or network activity, commercial information, or advertising-related events to other companies.
Under some U.S. state privacy laws, certain disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising may be legally defined as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information even when no money is exchanged.
Where applicable law gives you the right to opt out of those activities, you may exercise that right through privacy controls made available on the website or through a qualifying browser-based privacy signal.
Browser Privacy Signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” or DNT setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, ShootFilmCo does not currently respond to DNT signals as such.
Certain jurisdictions recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, or GPC.
Where applicable law requires us to recognize a qualifying opt-out preference signal, we treat that signal as a request to opt out of applicable sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity for the browser or device sending the signal.
Email and SMS Marketing
We may send promotional email or text messages as permitted by applicable law and based on the preferences or permissions you provide.
You can unsubscribe from promotional email by using the unsubscribe link included in the message.
You can opt out of promotional text messages by following the opt-out instructions included in the message.
Opting out of promotional communications does not prevent us from sending non-promotional messages that are reasonably necessary to complete an order, provide customer service, process a return, communicate about your account, address security issues, or otherwise provide a service you requested.
Additional terms may apply to an SMS or messaging program and may be presented separately when you enroll.
Legal Bases for Processing in the EEA and UK
If the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, United Kingdom data-protection law, or similar law applies to our processing of your personal information, our legal basis depends on the purpose for which the information is used.
We may process personal information because:
-
It is necessary to perform a contract with you, such as processing, fulfilling, delivering, returning, or refunding an order.
-
It is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, such as tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
-
It is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of another party, such as protecting the store, preventing fraud, providing customer service, maintaining business records, and improving our services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
-
You have provided consent, such as for certain marketing, analytics, advertising, or cookie-related activities where consent is required.
-
Processing is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
International Data Transfers
ShootFilmCo is based in the United States.
Shopify and other service providers may process personal information in the United States and in other countries in which they operate.
Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.
Where personal information is subject to international-transfer restrictions, applicable companies may rely on legally recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, approved data-transfer frameworks, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
How Long We Keep Personal Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
The length of time may depend on the type of information and why it was collected.
For example:
-
Order, payment-status, refund, tax, and accounting records may be kept for the period reasonably necessary to meet legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping requirements.
-
Customer account information may be retained while an account remains active and afterward when necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes.
-
Customer-service communications may be retained for a reasonable period after a matter is resolved in case follow-up, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping is necessary.
-
Marketing subscription information may be kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may retain limited information necessary to remember and honor your opt-out.
-
Analytics, advertising, and technical information may be retained according to the settings and retention periods of the services we use and only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
-
Information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, respond to a dispute, comply with law, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably necessary to retain it.

Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may request reasonable proof of the agent’s authority.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Automated Processing
We may use automated systems for ordinary ecommerce purposes such as fraud detection, security monitoring, analytics, product recommendations, advertising measurement, or store personalization.
We do not use solely automated processing to make decisions about customers that produce legal or similarly significant effects unless we specifically disclose that practice and provide any rights required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
No website, network, transmission method, or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your own devices, email account, and any credentials associated with services you use.
Children’s Privacy
