This 15oz black ceramic mug features a full-wrap tribute to the ADOX CHS 50 ART 35mm cassette label, including its restrained gray-and-green graphics, ADOX mark, ISO 50/18° rating, 135-36 designation, and barcode treatment. It is a particularly specific reference for photographers who remember ADOX's classic CHS black-and-white films.

About ADOX CHS 50 ART

ADOX CHS 50 was an ISO 50/18 DIN black-and-white film from the classic CHS family. ADOX describes it as one of the finer-grained films in the range and notes that its spectral sensitivity cut off at about 620nm, rendering reds darker than modern superpanchromatic films and producing naturally stronger separation between clouds and blue skies. CHS 50 was available as 35mm 36-exposure film, bulk 35mm, 120, and sheet film, and could be developed in conventional black-and-white developers. The CHS line was produced for ADOX by Fotokemika in Samobor, Croatia. When that factory closed in 2012, the original CHS 25, 50, and 100 line disappeared with it—leaving the ART-series packaging as a recognizable artifact from an earlier generation of traditional black-and-white materials.
