About Konica Super SR 100

Konica Super SR 100 was an ISO 100 color negative film from Konica's early-1990s Super SR family. Available in 35mm and 110 formats, it sat alongside faster Super SR films while giving photographers a slower color-print option for well-lit conditions. Konica's technical literature credited the Super SR series with introducing its Clean Multi-Crystal Technology, developed to improve granularity. The 36-exposure DX-coded cassette shown here belongs to that period when Konica was still a major photographic-film manufacturer and its blue-labeled color films regularly shared camera-store shelves with Kodak, Fuji, and Agfa. Super SR disappeared as Konica moved on to later color-film families, leaving the cassette design as a particularly recognizable early-'90s film reference.
