This Minolta X-700 trucker hat turns the familiar model lettering of Minolta’s classic manual-focus 35mm SLR into a simple photography reference. The front graphic pairs the MINOLTA name and circular striped mark with the large X-700 designation—an instantly recognizable combination for photographers who used Minolta’s X-series cameras or built a kit around MD lenses.

Introduced in 1981, the X-700 became the flagship of Minolta’s manual-focus X-series. It offered three exposure modes: fully programmed P, aperture-priority A, and metered manual M. With Minolta MD lenses, Program mode could automatically control both shutter speed and aperture, while the camera also provided TTL center-weighted metering and supported Minolta’s extensive manual-focus SLR lens system.

The combination made the X-700 unusually flexible: approachable enough to use in Program mode, but still capable of the direct manual control expected from a traditional 35mm SLR. Its long association with Minolta’s MD system helped make the X-700 one of the better-known cameras from the company’s final generation of manual-focus SLRs.

The design is available in two P423 Weekender colorways: Graphite with Black Mesh Back and Tan with White Mesh Back. For photographers who learned on an X-700, still keep one loaded, or recognize the Minolta wordmark and model number immediately, the reference needs little explanation.
