This Pentax K1000 trucker hat takes one of the most recognizable names in analog photography and reduces it to the detail many photographers remember immediately: the bold PENTAX K1000 model lettering. Printed across the front of the P423 Weekender, the design is a straightforward tribute to a camera that became closely associated with learning film photography.

Introduced in 1976, the Pentax K1000 was an all-manual 35mm SLR built around the Pentax K-mount bayonet system introduced the previous year. Exposure, focusing, film advance, and shutter operation were manual, while a simple TTL meter provided an exposure reference in the viewfinder. Its intentionally uncomplicated controls helped make the K1000 especially popular with photography students and beginners. The model remained in production until 1997—an unusually long run for a 35mm SLR.

The design is available in two P423 Weekender colorways: Graphite with Black Mesh Back and Tan with White Mesh Back. Each uses contrast cording, a mid-profile crown, breathable trucker mesh, and an adjustable snapback closure.
